Efrat Eliyahu, PhD

Dr. Efrat Eliyahu brings over a decade of experience in translational research through her experience as a co-founder of several startups. Dr. Eliyahu formerly served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai. Her research focuses on sphingolipid metabolism, which regulates cellular survival under normal physiological conditions and in response to environmental or metabolic stress. Dr. Eliyahu has developed an innovative therapeutic approach targeting ceramide-mediated pathological processes in reproductive medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and orthopedics.
