Dr. Efrat Eliyahu is a co-founder and a scientific advisor at Frezent. She brings over a decade of experience in translational research through her experience as a co-founder of several startups. Dr. Eliyahu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences. Her research focuses on sphingolipid metabolism, which regulates cellular survival under normal physiological conditions and in response to environmental or metabolic stress. Dr. Eliyahu has developed an innovative therapeutic approach targeting ceramide-mediated pathological processes in reproductive medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and orthopedics.
